PARTNERS FESTIVAL GUIDELINES
The Partners Festival is a Manhattan Area Music Teachers-sponsored event to be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 in All Faiths Chapel on the Kansas State University campus.
Duet partners will perform in a public masterclass setting. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and be
limited to eight hours. It is open to all ages and levels of repertoire.
Any partner combination can participate, including student/student and student/teacher.
Teacher partners may also participate, but their inclusion will be subject to time remaining after students have been scheduled. Partners are required to perform from an original score, and another must also be provided for the clinician. Photocopies will not be permitted.
Sessions length and fees
For MAMTA members:
15 min session: $5
30 min session: $10
For non-MAMTA members: the above session fee plus $5 per partner pair.
Teachers will decide the appropriate–length session according to the length and level of repertoire.
Teachers are requested to email their number of partner pairs and requested session lengths to the event chair as soon as known (Dr. Virginia Houser, vhouser@ksu.edu).
The submission time of that information will allow a cut-off time for applications beyond the event’s time restriction if needed.
This event will be video-recorded for the MAMTA archives. A written Notification of
Permission Form for video-recording of the master class session and inclusion/non-inclusion in MAMTA’s electronic archives will be required of each participant.
The Partners Festival Registration Form, fee covering all participants (one check from the teacher made payable to MAMTA), and Notification of Permission Form (one for each participant) must be postmarked no later than Monday, February 20th, and mailed to:
