Level 2
recognize and/or give definition for f, p, leg., stacc.
identify
- white or black keys on a pictured keyboard.
- 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, 5ths, white keys only.
draw sharp, flat, natural.
Level 3
recognize and/or give definition for p, mp, mf, f, ties, slurs.
identify 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, 5ths, 6ths, by distance only.
draw sharp, flat, natural on the staff in proper placement.
Level 4
recognize and/or give definition for pp, p, mp, mf, f, ff, accent, 8va, D. C. al fine
identify 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, 5ths, 6ths, 7ths, octave, by distance only.
complete major triads built on white keys by marking the middle note with an X.
Level 5
write the sharps in order and the flats in order (by letter name and symbol only, not on the staff).
